Susie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the Financial University in Tianjin, a Masters degree in Business from Nankai University China, has completed the Professional Accounting Program at Algonquin College and is member of the Certified General Accountants (CGA) Association.
Prior to joining NOTRA, Susie held various accounting related positions in both Canada and China. As a CGA, Susie's experience covers a full range expertise including analysis, auditing, Project Financial QA, AR, AP, taxes, remittances, reconciliations, month/year end statements and payroll.
Dean holds a bachelor of arts degree in Geographic Information Systems and has over 12 years experience in the geospatial industry.
Over the course of his career Dean has led numerous GIS projects for private and public sector clients and he has taught advanced GIS to military staff at Algonquin College. Dean joined NOTRA in 2009 to coordinate the development of a comprehensive GIS capability to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Wolfgang served in the German Military as a Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician for almost 15 years and retired in 1999. Wolfgang is an active member of the German EOD Association and the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI).
Since joining NOTRA in 1999, Wolfgang has worked as a Project Manager on several explosives management projects across Canada and Internationally. Wolfgang's experience covers a wide range of Explosives Management issues including surface and underwater EOD Clearance and Quality Assurance operations, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Chemical Weapons, Demilitarization, De-mining and Risk Audits.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from York University, an MBA from Queen's University and is an active member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO). Stephen has been with NOTRA Inc. since its inception in 1995 and has been responsible for providing direction and corporate leadership since taking over the role of President in 2000.
As a Project Manager, his experience covers a wide range of projects including environmental science, explosives management, geophysical surveys, health & safety and quality management. Having managed numerous projects in Canada and Internationally, Stephen brings a strong knowledge base to each new assignment.
Paula joined the company in 2001 and has developed an in-depth understanding of the business through hands on experience and training. Paula is NOTRA’s Contract Administrator. As Contract Administrator Paula is responsible for working closely with corporate Project Managers to coordinate project/contract activities such as travel & living, proposal and report preparation, invoicing and general administrative support. Paula’s knowledge of contract management and administration enables her to assist team members in accessing, compiling and collating project related information for the production of reports.
Fran is a Contract and Human Resource Administrator with NOTRA.
Fran joined the company in 1998 and has developed an in-depth understanding of the business through hands on experience and training. Fran is actively involved with the production of proposals, client and consultant liaison, personnel HR issues and the day-to-day interface with NOTRA employees.
Prior to joining NOTRA, Fran spent ten years as a Teletype Technician in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Dennis attended Carleton University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical Physics and a minor in Geology in 1987. Between 1989 and 1991, Dennis completed the qualifying and graduate courses in applied geophysics at L’ecole Polytechnique, University of Montreal. Dennis is a Professional Geophysicist in good standing with APGO, APEGA, APEGBC and APEGNB.
Between the periods of 1980 and 2007 Dennis consulted for a variety of surveying, mineral exploration and environmental companies conducting legal, geodetic control, grid layout and geophysical surveys. The geophysical surveys Dennis was crew chief for included TEM, magnetic, HLEM, IP, Borehole and Gravity supporting both the mineral exploration and environmental community.
Dennis has been a member of the Ottawa Fire Services (volunteer -Station 63, Constance Bay) since 1999, holding the rank of lieutenant from 2005-2019. He was an Ice/Water Rescue instructor (2002-2012) and is a current St. Johns Ambulance Medical First Responder Instructor (2006-present).
Dennis has more than 28 years of geophysics and surveying experience across Canada, portions of the United States, Australia, Cuba, Spain, Peru and Kazakhstan.
Sean graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and began his career as a Combat Engineer within the Canadian Armed Forces. Throughout this time, he deployed on numerous domestic and international operations with a focus on Military Engineering, unexploded ordnance and counter - improvised explosive device training. His major highlight was a tour to Afganistan as a C-IED mentor to Afghan Security Forces.
Upon leaving the Canadian Armed Forces in 2017, Sean joined NOTRA as a Project and Quality Assurance Manager where he ensures that all contractual and technical project requirements are exceeded. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the province of Ontario, a Project Management Professional (PMP) and ISO9000 Lead Auditor. He is also a qualified UXO Technician.
Craig is an accomplished Geophysical Technician with a Geological Technician Diploma from Cambrian College. Craig has more than 20 years of Geophysical experience working across Canada, portions of the United States, Australia, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, Finland, China and Kazakhstan.
Craig has worked on numerous geophysical surveys that included: Electromagnetic (EM), Magnetics, Induced Polarization (IP), borehole property survey projects worldwide working for Vale, and now currently the use of EM and magnetic detection equipment combined with the latest Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies to identify and locate unexploded ordnance (UXO). Craig has extensive experience as a crew chief, managing operations in many remote portions of the world with a solid reputation for both high production rates while exceeding data quality objectives, even in severe climates and geographic
Since joining NOTRA in 2007, Craig has worked as a Senior Geophysical Operator and Data analyzer on multiple UXO projects across Canada over the years including: CFB Borden, Shilo Manitoba, Suffield Alberta, CFB Petawawa, Calgary, Vernon BC, Kamloops and Tofino.
